Sonia Gaddu

Sonia brings 8+ years’ experience across employment law, advising both employers and employees on complex employment matters. Her expertise includes:

• Advising on both contentious and non-contentious matters.
• Employment litigation: drafting Tribunal documents and representing employees in Employment Tribunal claims (unfair/constructive dismissal, discrimination claims, vicitmisation, whistleblowing and harassment), whether that is pursuing/defending claims, and working towards reaching the best possible outcome.
• Settlement agreements: providing clear advice on the terms of any settlement agreement, and negotiating terms on behalf of the employees to reach the desired outcome. In addition, drafting settlement agreements on behalf of employers.
• Contracts/handbooks: advising on and draft employment documents, such as contracts and handbook policies.
• Assisting and advising on grievances and disciplinary processes in order to reach early resolutions.
• Advising on TUPE and redundancy processes.

She was featured as Lawyer of the Week in The Times in September 2023. She was also ‘Highly Commended’ for the award of ‘Rising Star – large firm’ at the Women and Diversity in Law Awards which took place in March 2024. Prior to joining, I was previously at a leading UK and Intentional law firm.
