Clear guidance
Received an Acas notification or employment tribunal claim? Get clear advice on response strategy, evidence, possible settlement and representation where appropriate.
Our Client Care team handles initial enquiries. Once a solicitor is instructed, they can assess the individual circumstances, explain relevant legal risks and discuss whether negotiation or formal proceedings may be suitable.
Discuss the next stepQuestions and answers
The answer depends on the reason, contract, circumstances and legal requirements. A fair process, notice and other risks may still need consideration. Seek advice before acting.
Yes. The ordinary unfair dismissal qualifying period is scheduled to reduce from two years to six months from 1 January 2027, with transitional rules. This does not remove the need to follow a fair process.
Many disputes can be considered for negotiation or Acas early conciliation, but whether a settlement is appropriate depends on the case and business objectives.
Costs depend on scope, urgency and work required. Our Client Care team can discuss the process for obtaining a quote or arranging solicitor advice.
Important legal note: Employer advice should take account of current dismissal law and the 1 January 2027 changes, where relevant. Tribunals have strict response requirements that differ from employee claim time limits. General information is not legal advice about an individual claim or deadline.
Request a callback and our Client Care team will explain how to make an enquiry, likely fees and the options for arranging legal advice.
